At this time, all dissertations must be related to the fields of stem cell science, or hormone rejuvenation therapy. Dissertations are required to be published. There are many new online publication outlets now, including various free access and free-to-publish journals. Faculty will assist and guide students to ensure publication is achieved.

The main purpose of a dissertation is to demonstrate the student’s command of the stem cell field. Since the program is delivered online, dissertations must necessarily be based on literature reviews, and reviews of stem cell therapies offered internationally. Topics for dissertations will be suggested by the Faculty, and also, the student may select his/her own topic with the assistance and approval of the Faculty.
The dissertation will follow the usual form of scientific papers, particularly that of “reviews”. Guidelines for preparing the dissertation are given in due course. The dissertation must show that the student can look at some existing works or therapies, evaluate them, and synthesize independent ideas or conclusions based on the studied works. Throughout the process, you will have a faculty advisor and mentor to assist you, and guide you to completion. There should be no reason why a dissertation cannot be completed during the 3rd year.
Although the idea of a dissertation may seem overwhelming at first, if you have completed the course work, you will find that completing the dissertation will not be difficult. There is no length requirement whatsoever. Some fine research papers are 1-2 printed pages in length. Most are much longer. Therefore, quantity is not the issue; a demonstration that you understand the field (or some part of it) and can discuss it intelligently, as well as advance the discussion, are all that is required.
All dissertations become the property of the Panama College of Cell Science, and may be edited, published, and used for any purpose. These rights of user are not meant to interfere with the author’s use for any purpose including republication.
An example of a dissertation topic might be: “How the Finding of Stem Cells in Menstrual Fluids May Help International Scientists Without Access to Cell Banks to Develop Stem Cell Research Programs”. Other examples might be: “Russian Fetal Tissue Transplantation. A Review of Possible Mechanisms of Action in Regenerating the Liver”; or “Comparison of Treatment Regimens Using Embryonic Stem Cells vs Autologous Adult Stem Cells”; or “The Paired Mouse Experiments and the Hunt for In Vivo Serum Activating Factors”.
